CEMENT BASED FIBER REINFORCED LEVELLERS

PRESERVING THE DURABILITY OF THE BUILDINGS WITH A HIGHLY PERFORMING LEVELING

The term plaster refers to a wall coating which function is the protection and the superficial finishing consisting of one more coats of mortar whose components are chosen depending on the type of application method.

The plaster should adjust the internal surface moisture of the walls, avoiding the phenomena of condensation and also has the aim to smooth the surfaces of the walls to allow them to get the desired final finishing (painting, application of a decorative finish, etc.). In the interior environments, if well ventilated, the plaster has a long life.

The exterior plaster rather than to have a function aesthetics has primarily the task of protecting the building degradation caused by atmospheric agents, thus it will be required to have sufficient mechanical and chemical resistance so that it can withstand the "aggression" by the surrounding environment. Phenomena such as biological attacks or structural movement, may, in varying degrees, affect the aesthetics and especially the functionality of our casing reducing significantly the initial properties.

Through the techincal inspection it is verified the conditions of the external finish of the building and, thanks to simple tests on site it is possible to make a diagnosis on the artefact and to choose the most appropriate method and suitable materials for our intervention.

OPERATIONAL STEPS FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE FACADES:

  1. Make sure that the surface is clean, free of dust, saline efflorescencex, eliminate inconsistent and loosing parts, possibly after washing with water.
  2. Proceed with the drafting and smoothing of the leveller using a steel spatula.
  3. Protect the wall with an adequate application cycle, after using the fixative.
